The facility achieved commercial operation in December 2022 and is connected to the New York grid at the Canandaigua substation (230 kV NYSEG interconnection). Baron Winds Farm is the largest onshore wind-energy generator in Steuben County and is capable of supplying electricity equivalent to the annual demand of approximately 50,000 U.S. homes.
