Boulevard Energy Storage is SDG&E’s battery microgrid at Boulevard Substation in eastern San Diego County. The August 2026 EIA inventory records 10 MW / 10 MWh and an operating start in March 2024. The CPUC’s 2022 approved design separately specifies 10 MW with 50.5 MWh at beginning of life and 40 MWh at end of life. Boulevard circuit 445 was designed to support local critical facilities while also contributing capacity to CAISO.
