Buckeye Wind Energy Center is a 200 MW wind farm in Ellis County, Kansas, near Hays, developed and owned by Invenergy and opened in December 2015. It uses 112 GE 1.79 MW turbines. Blattner Energy was the civil and mechanical contractor, and Morgan Stanley led the construction financing. A significant portion of the output is sold to Lincoln Electric System under a long-term power purchase agreement.
