Clover is a two-unit operating coal-fired power station in Clover, Halifax County, Virginia. Unit 1 entered commercial service in October 1995 and Unit 2 in March 1996. The station has approximately 848 MW of conventional steam-coal capacity. It is owned equally (50% each) by Virginia Electric and Power Co. and Old Dominion Electric Cooperative, and is operated by Virginia Electric and Power Co. The station is located at 4091 Clover Road, adjacent to the Staunton River, and occupies 1,700 acres. It interconnects to PJM at 230 kV via the Clover Substation.
