Emery Station is a 602.8 MW natural gas fired combined cycle plant in Cerro Gordo County. Emery Generating Station is a roughly 600 MW natural gas combined-cycle plant near Clear Lake, Iowa, built by Interstate Power and Light, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliant Energy. It uses two GE Frame 7FA combustion turbines, two Alstom heat recovery steam generators and a GE steam turbine, and was the first plant the company built in Iowa in 19 years, starting commercial operation in 2004 under the Power Iowa program.
