Freeborn Wind Farm is a 200 MW wind project in Freeborn County, Minnesota and Worth County, Iowa, with 84 MW in Minnesota and 116 MW in Iowa. Invenergy developed it and the Minnesota site permit, issued in December 2018, was transferred to Northern States Power Company, an Xcel Energy utility, in October 2019. Wanzek Construction was selected to build it, and Xcel continues to file wind reports for the project in the Minnesota docket.
