Goose Creek Energy Center is a natural gas plant near Monticello in Piatt County, Illinois, made up of six GE 7EA simple-cycle combustion turbines, about 450 MW. Ameren Missouri, then AmerenUE, bought it in March 2006 from subsidiaries of Aquila, together with the Raccoon Creek facility for a combined $175 million. ProEnergy provides site management and maintenance under a contract renewed in 2016.
