Guajillo Energy Storage LLC - Webb County - ERCOT

Guajillo Energy Storage is a lithium-ion battery energy storage system in Webb County, Texas, about 20 km from Laredo. The facility uses LFP batteries to store electricity and discharge it when market demand is greatest, and was built directly beside Plenitude's Corazon Solar Farm to share interconnection and site infrastructure. The project was originally developed by BayWa r.e. and sold as a fully developed asset to Eni New Energy US (Plenitude) in early 2022. Plenitude completed construction in January 2025, calling it the company's largest battery storage system to date, with EIA recording the unit as operating with a December 2025 in-service month. The plant has a nameplate capacity of 228.7 MW (200 MW net summer) and no scheduled whole-plant retirement. It settles in ERCOT, near the Corazon solar array and Wolf Tank battery storage price nodes.
