## Reviewed overview

High Bridge is a 570 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle plant on the Mississippi River near downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, owned by Xcel Energy. It replaced the 270 MW coal-fired High Bridge plant built in 1923 and entered commercial service in May 2008, with two Mitsubishi Model 501F combustion turbines feeding a steam turbine-generator. The project was a key part of Xcel Energy's voluntary Metro Emissions Reduction Project.
