Inver Hills is a natural gas and distillate-oil fired peaking plant in Inver Grove Heights, Dakota County, Minnesota, owned by Northern States Power Company, the Xcel Energy utility. It has six generation turbines, EU 001 through EU 006, described by EPA as a 440 MW peak demand plant. In 2016 EPA approved a Minnesota revision cutting the allowable sulfur content of fuels delivered to the facility to 0.005 percent by weight.
