Battery power (MW) and stored energy (MWh) are separate measures. Shared physical-site membership does not establish electrical connectivity, settlement or a common export limit.

## Reviewed overview

John Twitty Energy Center is City Utilities of Springfield's generating complex in southwest Springfield, Missouri. Unit 1, a 203 MW coal-fired unit, entered service in 1976. Unit 2, a 300 MW coal unit designed to burn low-sulfur western coal, cost $555 million and entered commercial operation in January 2011. The site also has combustion turbine generators. The utility, which owns and operates the plant, renamed it in 2011 for retired general manager John Twitty.
