## Reviewed overview

Lawrence County Station is a natural gas peaking plant in southern Indiana owned by Hoosier Energy, a generation and transmission cooperative serving member distribution cooperatives. It was built with six GE LM6000 combustion turbine generators on a 48-acre site, with TIC Group as EPC contractor. The units entered commercial operation in pairs from January to March 2005. The plant can be started and dispatched quickly to meet member demand.
