## Reviewed overview

The Magnolia Power Project is a 323 MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle plant in Burbank, Los Angeles County. It is owned by the Southern California Public Power Authority and operated by the City of Burbank's Water & Power Department. A GE 7FA combustion turbine, heat recovery steam generator and steam turbine feed the onsite Olive Substation. Certified in March 2003, it began commercial operation on September 22, 2005. A November 2025 amendment allows an additional 54 MW in hot weather.
