Magnolia Power Generating Station is a 694 MW greenfield combined cycle gas plant in Plaquemine, Louisiana, developed by Kindle Energy and built by funds managed by Blackstone Energy Transition Partners. Construction began in 2022, and commercial operations began with completion in early 2026. Built around a GE 7HA.03 gas turbine, it is the first hydrogen-capable, advanced-class plant in MISO South and supplies five Louisiana electric cooperatives through the 1803 Electric Cooperative.
