Battery power (MW) and stored energy (MWh) are separate measures. Shared physical-site membership does not establish electrical connectivity, settlement or a common export limit.

## Reviewed overview

Muscatine Plant #1 is the coal-fired generating station of Muscatine Power and Water, the city of Muscatine, Iowa public utility. It has three main generation units: Unit 7 from 1958, Unit 8 and 8A, and the 175 MW Unit 9, which entered service in 1983. The plant began burning Powder River Basin coal in 1993. MPW reports 288 MW of total capacity and plans to retire one coal unit and convert another to gas after a new 35 MW combined heat and power unit.
