New Castle Power, LLC - Lawrence County - PJM

New Castle Generating Station, also identified by EIA as New Castle Plant, is a 348 MW operating gas-fired thermal power station in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania at 2189 State Route 168 South, West Pittsburg. The facility comprises five generators: three natural-gas steam-turbine units rated 98 MW, 114 MW, and 136 MW (entered service September 1952, August 1958, and June 1964, respectively), and two 3.2 MW petroleum-liquids internal-combustion generators (entered service December 1968), of which one is operating and one is out of service. All three principal coal-fired units were converted to natural gas in 2016.
