Pomeroy Wind Farm is a 286.4 MW onshore wind turbine plant in Pocahontas County. Pomeroy is a MidAmerican Energy wind project in Pocahontas and Calhoun counties, Iowa. Its 2011 expansion added 29.9 MW from thirteen Siemens SWT-2.3-101 turbines, erected by Mortenson Construction with Siemens providing operation, maintenance and warranty service. The expansion was the first of 258 Siemens turbines MidAmerican installed at three Iowa wind projects that year.
