Port Washington Generating Station, LLC - Ozaukee County - MISO

A 1,150 MW net natural-gas-fired combined-cycle generating station in Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, on the shore of Lake Michigan. The facility consists of two power blocks, each rated at approximately 575 MW and each containing two GE 7FA.04 combustion-turbine generators, one Alstom heat-recovery steam generator with supplementary duct firing, and one GE D11 steam-turbine generator. The station replaced a 225 MW coal-fired facility that operated at the same site for more than 70 years. The station is owned by Port Washington Generating Station, LLC and operated by Wisconsin Electric Power Company under a 25-year lease structure approved by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission. The project represents a significant repowering and was financed through the state's affiliated leased-generation framework rather than conventional rate-base ownership.
