The power plant includes six steam-driven turbine-generators totaling 117 MW of capacity, natural-gas-fired boilers at 1,400 and 260 psig, and a 38 MW gas-turbine combined-cycle cogeneration facility. In 2017, RED retired 127 years of continuous coal-fired operations and converted the system to natural-gas fuel.
