Battery power (MW) and stored energy (MWh) are separate measures. Shared physical-site membership does not establish electrical connectivity, settlement or a common export limit.

## Reviewed overview

Renaissance Power Plant is a 732 MW natural gas peaking facility in Carson City, Michigan, made up of four simple-cycle combustion turbines. Dynegy announced the project in 2001 and LS Power acquired it in 2009. In 2014 DTE agreed to buy the plant for $240 million to meet its customers’ resource needs, and DTE Electric Company now owns and runs it. State inspection records from May 2023 show its units running.
