Richmond is a natural gas combustion turbine station near Richmond, Indiana, owned and operated by the Indiana Municipal Power Agency. Its two 41 MW units entered service in 1992 and run primarily on natural gas, with No. 2 fuel oil held as an alternative. IMPA uses them as peaking resources in PJM, and the units have run almost daily through recent summers. Reverse osmosis water treatment was added for NOx control.
