## Reviewed overview

The Riverside Energy Resource Center is a natural gas-fired peaking plant in the city of Riverside, owned by Riverside Public Utilities. The original 96 MW facility began operating in June 2006. Units 3 and 4 followed in November 2011, adding two GE LM6000 PC SPRINT simple-cycle turbines for about 95 MW. The expansion received a California Energy Commission Small Power Plant Exemption in 2009.
