## Reviewed overview

SunZia Wind South is the southern part of Pattern Energy's SunZia Wind Project in New Mexico, 674 turbines across Lincoln and Torrance counties. The whole project, the largest wind farm in the United States at 3,650 MW and 916 turbines, began commercial operations in June 2026 after construction started in 2023. Most of its output is exported to Arizona and Southern California over the SunZia high voltage transmission line, and generation is reported by CAISO.
