## Data quality

- Capacity depends on the reporting convention: Talen's portfolio page lists 2,245 MW of owned capacity, while an EIA-860M-derived plant record lists 2,532 MW of total capacity. The June 2015 ownership change was a corporate spinoff and combination transaction rather than a disclosed cash sale of the nuclear station. The separately reported $650 million transaction in March 2024 concerned the adjacent Cumulus data-center campus, not the nuclear plant. The plant remains operational; NRC records list renewed-license expiration dates of 2042 for Unit 1 and 2044 for Unit 2. No retirement date is established in the cited records.
