Thunderhead Wind Energy Center is a 300 MW wind project of 108 GE turbines in Antelope and Wheeler counties, Nebraska, developed by Invenergy. In September 2019 WEC Energy Group agreed to pay $338 million for an 80% ownership interest. AT&T signed a virtual power purchase agreement for the output. Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives built the roads, foundations and turbine installations, with commercial operation targeted for the end of 2020.
