Top Gun Energy Storage is SDG&E’s 30 MW / 120 MWh lithium-ion battery installation at the Miramar site in San Diego. Its four-hour rating describes stored electricity and discharge power; it is separate from Miramar Energy Facility’s two natural-gas turbines. The August 2026 EIA inventory lists battery generator TGES as operating. SDG&E operates Top Gun with personnel based at Palomar Energy Center, while RES America performs most maintenance under a long-term service agreement.
