Battery power (MW) and stored energy (MWh) are separate measures. Shared physical-site membership does not establish electrical connectivity, settlement or a common export limit.

## Reviewed overview

Washington Parish Energy Center is an approximately 361 MW natural gas-fired peaking plant near Bogalusa, Louisiana, with two combustion turbines. A Calpine subsidiary built it on the site of a generation project Calpine put on permanent hold in 2006, and Entergy Louisiana completed its purchase on November 24, 2020, for approximately $261 million. It gives Entergy Louisiana quick-start peaking and reserve capacity.
