Wheatridge Hybrid is a 280 MW onshore wind turbine, batteries, solar photovoltaic plant in Morrow County. Wheatridge Renewable Energy Facility sits near Lexington in Morrow County, Oregon, and combines a 300-megawatt wind farm, a 50-megawatt solar facility and a 30-megawatt battery storage system. The wind farm uses 120 GE Renewable Energy turbines and began operation in December 2020; the solar and storage followed in spring 2022. Portland General Electric owns 100 MW of the wind project, while a NextEra Energy Resources subsidiary owns the balance and sells its output to PGE under 30-year power purchase agreements.
