Whispering Willow North is a 200 MW wind farm in Franklin County, Iowa, built by Alliant Energy as an expansion of its Whispering Willow East Wind Farm. Its 81 General Electric turbines of 2.5 and 2.3 MW entered service in January 2020 and power around 93,000 homes annually. The project is expected to deliver $44 million in landowner lease payments over 30 years and about $104 million in property taxes over 40 years.
