## Reviewed overview

Wood County is a solar-plus-storage site in the town of Saratoga in central Wisconsin, operated by Alliant Energy. Its 150 MW solar array, built by Burns & McDonnell on about 1,200 acres with nearly 390,000 panels, was completed in September 2022. A 75 MW, 300 MWh battery, four hours long, was added beside the solar field and went online in late 2025, bringing the site to 225 MW of combined capacity.
