A guided setup for new accounts
New free accounts get a short, skippable setup that asks what you work on, which markets you follow, and what you want Ask the Grid to do — then opens your dashboard configured around the answers.
Five short steps, one question each: who you are, the markets you follow, what you want the product to do, the assets or pricing nodes you want on your radar, and an invite link for colleagues. Sign up with a work email and your company is filled in for you, logo and all. The market you pick first becomes the one your dashboard opens on, and anything you save here is the same saved item the map shows — not a separate list.
Finishing drops you straight onto your dashboard, where a short welcome sums up what got set up and links to each part of it. You can run the whole thing again any time from your profile — your answers are kept, so it reopens on what you already told us.
The assets step adapts to what you told us: asset owners and developers are asked about plants, substations and queue projects, while traders and large loads are asked about nodes, hubs and zones. What you say you want takes priority over what your organization type implies.
Every step is optional and the whole thing is skippable from the first screen — skipping still lands you on a live market with the agent. Your answers save as you go, so closing the tab halfway through picks up where you left off, and everything is editable afterwards from your profile and settings.
