Privacy Policy
Last updated June 26, 2026
Ask the Grid is operated by Parisi Labs Inc(“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use askthegrid.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Browsing the public grid does not require an account.
Information we collect
- Account. When you sign in, your email address — and your name if you continue with Google.
- Your questions. The prompts you send to the agent and the results returned, so we can run and improve the service.
- Usage & device. Pages viewed, features used, IP address, approximate location, browser/device type, and a random anonymous identifier stored in your browser.
How we use it
- Operate, secure, and improve Ask the Grid and the agent.
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in across devices.
- Understand which grids and questions operators care about, to prioritize what we build.
- Detect and prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Send you account-related email, such as your sign-in code.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf:
- Google— “Continue with Google” sign-in.
- Resend — delivering sign-in emails.
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Our AI model provider— generating the agent’s answers from your questions.
- Google Cloud — hosting and infrastructure.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and our users.
Grid data
The electricity-grid information in the app — demand, generation, prices, transmission, and the like — comes from public ISO feeds and other public sources. It is operational data about the power system, not personal information about you.
Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].
Your choices
You can browse without an account, request access to or deletion of your data, and unsubscribe from non-essential email. To exercise any of these, contact [email protected].
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Ask the Grid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
International users
We are based in the United States and process information there. By using the service you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time, and will revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
