Sweeny Cogen Facility is a four-unit natural-gas cogeneration plant beside Phillips 66's Sweeny refinery in Brazoria County, Texas. EIA's May 2026 inventory reports 572 MW nameplate, 436 MW net summer, and 504 MW net winter capability. Three turbines entered service in 1997 and the fourth in December 2000. Phillips 66 increased its ownership to 100% in 2014; its current subsidiary list includes Sweeny Cogeneration LLC. The facility supplies electricity and process steam to the refinery and exports merchant power into ERCOT.
