Elk Station is a three-unit natural-gas combustion-turbine facility at Golden Spread Electric Cooperative's Antelope Elk Energy Center near Abernathy, Texas. EIA's May 2026 inventory reports 599.4 MW nameplate, 583.1 MW net summer, and 606 MW net winter capability. Unit 1 entered service in June 2015, and Units 2 and 3 entered service in May 2016. Golden Spread describes the three GE combustion turbines as capable of producing a combined 606 MW.
