National Grid Glenwood Energy Center LLC - Nassau County - NYISO

Glenwood is a 110 MW petroleum-liquids combustion-turbine peaking plant located at 200 Shore Road, Glenwood Landing, Nassau County, New York. The exact EIA plant 2514 consists of two 55 MW simple-cycle gas turbines (GT2 and GT3), each a GE LM6000 aeroderivative model, first placed in service in June 1972. The units fire primarily on distillate fuel oil and are equipped with water injection and selective catalytic reduction for NOx control. Glenwood is connected to NYISO at LMP/PTID nodes 23688 and 23689, serves as a Long Island peaking and near-term reliability resource, and is subject to New York State DEC Peaker Rule compliance, including water-injection retrofits due by May 1, 2027. National Grid Glenwood Energy Center LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of National Grid Generation LLC, owns and operates the plant. The facility sells capacity, energy conversion, and ancillary services to the Long Island Power Authority under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
