Saranac Facility

Saranac Power Partners, L.P. - Clinton County - NYISO

The Saranac Facility is an approximately 285.6 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York. The facility consists of two GE Frame 7EA combustion gas turbines (80 MWe each), each equipped with a heat recovery steam generator and supplemental duct burners, feeding steam to one 80-MWe steam turbine. The facility sells electricity into the NYISO wholesale market through EDF Trading North America, LLC, and supplies steam to Georgia-Pacific Corporation. It also operates the 22-mile North Country Gas Pipeline, which supplies fuel and provides gas transportation services. Saranac Power Partners, L.P. owns and operates the facility.
