Selkirk Cogen is a 446 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility located in Selkirk, Town of Bethlehem, Albany County, New York, operating within the NYISO balancing authority area. The facility comprises two electrically independent but thermally integrated units: Selkirk I (approximately 107.2 MW nameplate) and Selkirk II (approximately 338.8 MW nameplate), each consisting of GE Frame 7 combustion turbines and associated heat recovery steam generators with supplemental firing, plus steam turbine generators. The facility generates electricity under long-term contracts and supplies steam to an adjacent industrial customer. It is owned by Selkirk Cogen Partners LLC, an indirect subsidiary of GCE NE-Gen.
