World Generation X
World Generation X, LLC - Niagara County - NYISO
World Generation X is a 65.7 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility located at 1070 Erie Avenue, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, New York. The plant uses a General Electric PG6541(B) gas turbine, heat-recovery steam generator with two duct burners, steam turbine generator, and supporting auxiliary equipment. Originally constructed as a cogeneration facility supplying steam to an off-site greenhouse, it now generates electric power for sale to the local utility (National Grid) and operates within the NYISO wholesale market. The facility commenced commercial operation on September 7, 1993. (now Digi Power X Inc.), the plant is held through World Generation X, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary, and continues to operate as a dispatchable, behind-the-meter net-generation resource under the management of North American Energy Services (operator).
