Riot Platforms owns and operates the Riot Rockdale campus near Thorndale, Texas—a 200-acre facility with seven buildings (five air-cooled, two immersion-cooled) that came online in 2020 and reached full development by 2023. The campus delivers 700 MW of developed gross power capacity for Bitcoin mining and data-center leasing. Riot has contracted 345 MW under long-term fixed-price PPAs (130 MW in 2020, 65 MW and 150 MW in 2022), while Advanced Micro Devices has secured an initial 25 MW critical IT load deployment with a potential expansion option to 200 MW.
