Buffalo Gap 2 Wind Farm
AES Distributed Energy · Nolan County · ERCOT
Buffalo Gap 2 is a 232.5 MW wind facility in Nolan County, Texas. EIA's May 2026 inventory lists one operating aggregate generator under Plant ID 56484, with service beginning in July 2007 and AES Distributed Energy as the registered operator. EIA's annual generator data reports 155 GE 1.5 MW turbines. AES is separately repowering the three-phase Buffalo Gap complex, replacing 282 legacy turbines with 117 newer machines while targeting 526.5 MW across the full complex; that program is not a Buffalo Gap 2-only capacity claim.
