Seneca Power Partners LP - Genesee County - NYISO

Batavia Power Plant is a natural-gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility located at 163 Cedar Street in Batavia, Genesee County, New York. It is configured as a 1+1 combined-cycle cogeneration block with a GE Frame 6 (FR6001) gas turbine, a GE Fitchburg steam turbine, and a Zurn heat-recovery steam generator. The facility was originally constructed to provide both heat and electricity to the adjacent O-AT-KA dairy facility. It is currently operated by Seneca Power Partners, L.P. and participates in the NYISO wholesale energy market as a peaking unit, selling capacity, energy, and ancillary services when called upon during periods of high electrical demand. The plant is interconnected to the electrical grid under a FERC-approved large-generator interconnection agreement and is listed in the NYISO Gold Book. As of December 7, 2025, the NYISO market resource Batavia B (PTID 24024) is identified as retired under the Market Services Tariff.
