Amazon Cosner Tech Campus Data Center

The Cosner Tech Campus is an Amazon Data Services data center campus on Massaponax Church Road in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, near Fredericksburg. The first phase of two buildings on 110 acres is under construction, and a second phase of five buildings is proposed. Amazon's federal permit application says the campus is to provide a minimum of 450 MW of data center capacity by 2029. Rappahannock Electric Cooperative has submitted a PJM delivery-point request for a new Cosner substation with a total expected capacity of 300 MW, and backup power is permitted as diesel generator sets.
