CF Industries Nitrogen, LLC operates the Donaldsonville Nitrogen Complex, a nitrogen fertilizer site on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. Entergy Louisiana serves the plant, with 130 MW of total plant load under contract as of a March 2015 announcement.
The complex sits on 1,400 acres along the west bank of the Mississippi River in Louisiana. CF says it produces nearly 8 million tons of nitrogen products annually, depending on product mix. In March 2026 CF delayed a multi-week turnaround at its largest ammonia plant at Donaldsonville.
