High Lonesome is an operating wind-and-storage facility in Upton and Crockett counties, Texas. Enel began operating the original 450 MW wind farm in December 2019 and a 50 MW expansion in May 2020, bringing its owner-reported wind scope to 500 MW. Enel brought a 57 MW / 86 MWh battery online in 2023. EIA's May 2026 inventory separately reports 499.5 MW of wind nameplate and a 63.3 MW battery generator with 51 MW net summer capability and 81 MWh of stored energy.
