Profile
- Electricity and grid
- The proposed load will utilize 480 MW of power on a continuous basis. A later study describes a 576 MW load interconnection that would use 576 MW of power on a continuous basis. The proposed point of interconnection is the Clay 345 kV Substation. The connecting transmission owner is Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid. The environmental impact statement estimates consumption of up to 3,261 GWh in 2029, 6,925 GWh in 2030, 11,042 GWh in 2035, and a maximum of 15,674 GWh at full build-out in 2041. Micron would install approximately 4 MW of solar panels on rooftops. The term sheet provides an allocation of up to 140,000 kW of ReCharge NY power, supplemented as necessary with up to 788,000 kW of High Load Factor power from the New York Power Authority.
