Microsoft Columbia Data Center
Operating
Microsoft's Columbia Data Center is an existing data center at 501 Port Industrial Parkway in Quincy, Grant County, Washington, and is one of two Microsoft campuses in Quincy. It is served by Grant County Public Utility District, which built a dedicated substation for the original project. The utility was asked in 2006 to supply an initial 36 average megawatts and to build for an eventual peak of 48 megawatts. Cooling water is handled through the city's closed-loop Quincy Water Reuse Utility, and diesel emergency generators provide backup power.
