Microsoft Timber Datacenter Campus
Under Construction
The Timber Datacenter is a multi-phase Microsoft campus on Ridge Road in Boydton, Mecklenburg County, Virginia. A December 2025 federal notice shows Microsoft still seeking to complete authorized construction impacts, and a September 2026 state air permit adds backup generators. Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative was asked to serve the campus, with a utility application requesting 168 MW at the Timber delivery point. Utility planning documents projected a summer 2026 load of 123 MW.
