Nucor Steel Auburn is an electric arc furnace mill at 25 Quarry Road in Auburn, Cayuga County, New York, that makes billets, bar stock and reinforcement rod from scrap. A March 2020 filing before the New York Public Service Commission puts its power demand above 60 MW, making it one of the most electricity-intensive manufacturers in NYSEG's service territory.

The facility receives scrap metal and, using an electric arc furnace, produces billets of steel sold and manufactured into bar stock and reinforcement rod. The plant turns out roughly 420,000 tons of rebar and specialty steel each year and employs about 280 workers. NUCOR STEEL AUBURN INC is located in the town of Auburn in the county of Cayuga.

- Nucor-Auburn had a peak load of 44 MW in a May 2002 order. Its electric load was approximately 60 MW in a 2009 petition. A March 2020 petition says its power demand exceeds 60 MW. NYSEG supplies capacity, energy and delivery services under an Electric Service Agreement initially entered into on April 1, 2002. The sixth amendment extending the Agreement to December 31, 2027 was approved. NYPA awarded Nucor a ReCharge NY power allocation of 10,000 kW, consisting of 5,000 kW of NYPA hydropower and 5,000 kW of market-priced power. NYPA granted Nucor a second seven-year term effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2027. The interruptibility provisions of the agreement allow curtailment of most of Nucor's load in the event of a system emergency called by NYSEG or NYISO. Nucor is in NYISO Zone C.
