Overview

Production capabilities include rolling sheet ingot, specification ingot, molten metal and remelt-scrap ingot sows. The plant accepts all forms of aluminum scrap and dross, as well as primary ingot and UBCs.

Profile

Electricity and grid: A 2017 lighting renovation reduced Scepter's load demand from MLEC and the TVA. TVA EnergyRight and MLEC funded the energy measures with an incentive check of nearly $100,000.

Ownership and expansion: Scepter is family-owned and operated. A 2024 expansion with a total project cost of $9,100,000 aims to increase the aluminum recycled by 22 percent.
