Proposed
Switch has applied to Big Beaver Borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, for preliminary land development of a data center campus on the former Pit Raceway site, about 384 acres. The plans show three buildings of 215,750 gross square feet each, with space reserved for two more. Power is to come from the existing Hoytdale Switching Station and a new FirstEnergy substation tied to 345 kV lines on site. Filed documents suggest 270 MW of total backup generator capacity. The borough council's decision deadline was extended to December 18, 2026.
